Auction Night Success for Celia
Fundraising success for Celia!
Saint Catherine’s supporter Celia Durham will take on the Atlas Mountain Challenge this September to raise vital funds for Saint Catherine’s. Her journey will begin in the city of Marrakech. The trek will follow a chain of Berber Villages to alpine pastures set beneath the impressive backdrop of the High Atlas. The ascent of Mount Toubkal is the key objective of the challenge, being the highest peak in Morocco and Northern Africa. All profits from this evening will go directly to Saint Catherine’s.
In February Celia organised an auction evening which raised an incredible £5727.30, which includes generous match funding from Barclays for a further £1000. This amount was far more than she had anticipated which takes her Atlas Mountain fundraising for Saint Catherine’s to a fantastic £7708.65!
Rhiannon Hunt, Fundraiser at Saint Catherine’s said, ‘‘we are thrilled that the hard work that Celia put into her auction event paid off with such an impressive final total! We wanted to say a huge thank you to her and everybody who supported her auction evening. We are really looking forward to Celia joining us on our Atlas Mountain Challenge in September.’’
