Palliative Care Conference 2020

Join us at The Scarborough Spa on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th September 2020
for the two-yearly, two-day Palliative Care Conference – The ‘P’ Word: Still Relevant in a changing

The conference is organised by Saint Catherine’s Hospice, Scarborough, in association with York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.  Although most delegates are regional, people do attend from all over the UK.  The conference is directed at clinicians working in primary/generalist or specialist palliative care and usually attracts about 130 delegates.

The 2020 conference will be about how palliative care must meet the needs of a changing world to provide the best outcomes possible for those for whom we care. Sessions will explore:

  • How palliative care (general and specialist) could and should contribute given our current and projected clinical challenges.
  • How palliative care can and should be more accessible at the point of need.
  • ‘Brave’ questions about the distinctiveness, relevance and accountability of palliative care.
