At Saint Catherine’s we are doing everything we can to keep our patients, families, staff , volunteers and supporters safe at this difficult time.
Our key clinical services are still running, which means that patients are still being cared for in the hospice and at home.
However, in line with Government guidance and with safety paramount, we have taken the decision to reduce some face-to-face services and restrict visitors on site.
Every decision being made is in the best interests of our patients, families, volunteers and staff.
We need your continued support and help more than ever as we continue to pay and support all our members of staff – we appreciate every donation, every message and every offer of support.

Run 5K, donate £5 and nominate five people for Saint Catherine’s!

May 4th 2021

Saint Catherine’s is encouraging people to lace up their trainers and take part in 5K May and help raise vital funds for patient care.

The challenge, organised by Run for Heroes, is aimed at getting people out and about raising funds for a charity of their choice – while having fun through fitness at the same time.

The idea is simple – participants are asked to run 5K (or walk, swim or cycle), donate £5 and nominate five people to do the same.

This can be done any time in May – just sign up for free at and everyone taking part will unlock a goodie bag full of great offers.

Susan Stephenson, communications and marketing manager at Saint Catherine’s said: “This is a brilliantly simple way to support patient care at Saint Catherine’s. Lots more people have been getting into running and walking during lockdown, so why not put those extra steps to good use? The £5 donations really do add up and every pound counts!”
