At Saint Catherine’s we are doing everything we can to keep our patients, families, staff , volunteers and supporters safe at this difficult time.
Our key clinical services are still running, which means that patients are still being cared for in the hospice and at home.
However, in line with Government guidance and with safety paramount, we have taken the decision to reduce some face-to-face services and restrict visitors on site.
Every decision being made is in the best interests of our patients, families, volunteers and staff.
We need your continued support and help more than ever as we continue to pay and support all our members of staff – we appreciate every donation, every message and every offer of support.

Saint Catherine’s launches Make a Will Week 2021

February 16th 2021

Did you know that around 60% of adults in the UK don’t have a will?

If you’ve not yet made a will, you could get one drawn up and help Saint Catherine’s at the same time

Make a Will Week 2021 is happening from March 29 to April 2 – and solicitors are already taking bookings. They will be able to explain to those interested in taking part how the process will work in a COVID-secure way.

Participating solicitors have kindly offered their time for free and will draw up a single will for a suggested minimum donation of £125 or £200 for a matching pair.

Last time the event was a huge success, raising over £18,000 for patient care.

Catherine McNeill, of Thorpe & Co, said: “Every year, we are seeing Make a Will Week just get busier and busier. It’s a great idea as it encourages people to make a will and it benefits Saint Catherine’s too. I’d encourage people to book early as appointments do get booked up.”

You can book in to speak to someone in Scarborough, Hunmanby, Filey, Whitby, Malton, Pickering, Bridlington or Driffield. The appointment must fall between March 29 and April 2.

Please mention Saint Catherine’s Make a Will Week at the time of making your appointment.
