Workplace Fundraising

As well as fundraising as an individual or as part of a group, we always encourage people to get involved with their work colleagues and come up with fun ways to raise vital funds for Saint Catherine’s.

Get Involved

There are plenty of ways in which you could get your business or work colleagues involved in fundraising for Saint Catherine’s. You could hold anything from a bake sale or car wash to a ‘dress down day’ or a ‘crazy hair day’.

If you would like some further inspiration please download our Fundraising Pack or get in touch with our fundraising department on 01723 378406.

Partnerships

There are many ways in which a Partnership with Saint Catherine’s can benefit your organisation. These can include direct commercial gains through further strengthening your business profile and reputation by association with a great cause, as well as indirect benefits through enhanced motivation of your staff and contractors by encouraging them to work together in fundraising activities.

From Bring a Pound to Work Day to sponsoring a full day of our care, corporate partners provide huge support to us.

Saint Catherine’s Friends in Business

As well as fundraising in your workplace, you are also able to sign your business or workplace up to our giving scheme ‘Saint Catherine’s Friends in Business’.

Making a regular charitable donation to Saint Catherine’s is a way for businesses to reduce tax bills at the same time as supporting the care we provide to our patients and their loved ones.

Limited companies, partnerships and sole traders can all pay less tax when they give to charity. This is because donations are tax deductible against the profits of a company. Donations from sole trader or business partnership are paid net of tax and the charity claims a tax credit on top, direct from HMRC.

For the duration of your business’ commitment to  regular giving, your business would receive the benefit of our new ‘Friends in Business’ accreditation, for use on:

  • Company stationery
  • Company website
  • All of your marketing literature

How your business can make a difference:

£50 a month could pay for a Clinical Nurse Specialist visit.

£100 a month could pay for a patient to visit our Wellbeing Centre.

£250 a month could pay for a 24 hour stay for a patient on our In-Patient Unit.

For further information and details on how you can sign up, you can either download our brochure or give our fundraising team a call on 01723 351421.

Charity of the Year

Why not choose Saint Catherine’s as your business’ Charity of the Year?

Choosing to fundraise for Saint Catherine’s across the whole year shows a great commitment to helping those in our area who need end-of-life care.

When you choose Saint Catherine’s as your Charity of the Year, we can give you guidance on how to put on your fundraising events, as well as posting about our partnership on social media to our over 10,000 followers and sending out press releases to local publications. This gives your business a great opportunity to strengthen brand awareness and create positive PR.

If you’d like to know more and talk to someone about about choosing Saint Catherine’s as your Charity of the Year, please give our fundraising team a call on 01723 351421.

Bring a Pound to Work Day

Every year local radio station This is the Coast works in partnership with Saint Catherine’s to host Bring a Pound to Work Day, which is exactly what it says on the tin. This is the Coast campaigns for as many businesses as possible to get their employees to bring a pound to work and staff from the radio station go round all businesses and collect the money with help from the fundraisers at Saint Catherine’s. In 2019 this was held on 12th March and you can read more about the day here.
