International Nurses Day 2020 – thank you!

Today we say thank you to all the incredible nurses out there – and in particular our hospice nurses who are working day and night to provide outstanding end-of-life care.

As today (May 12) is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, who founded modern nursing and pioneered infection control, a special event is planned for tonight across the country.

People are encouraged to shine a light from their window at 8:30pm tonight to show their appreciation for all that nurses are doing to care for patients during the coronavirus pandemic.

To all our nurses, we salute you – today and every day. Thank you for everything you do.
