At Saint Catherine’s we are doing everything we can to keep our patients, families, staff , volunteers and supporters safe at this difficult time.
Our key clinical services are still running, which means that patients are still being cared for in the hospice and at home.
However, in line with Government guidance and with safety paramount, we have taken the decision to reduce some face-to-face services and restrict visitors on site.
Every decision being made is in the best interests of our patients, families, volunteers and staff.
We need your continued support and help more than ever as we continue to pay and support all our members of staff – we appreciate every donation, every message and every offer of support.

How Our Lottery Works

Once you have joined Saint Catherine’s lottery we will allocate your unique lottery number. Our draw takes place every Friday each week and all winners are selected by a random number generator.

Winners’ prizes are sent out by cheque automatically to the address you have supplied, so there is no need to claim.

The only numbers that go into the draw are the lottery numbers that have credit for that week and those have an equal chance of winning a prize, including the rollover.

The likelihood of winning the guaranteed first prize of £1,500 in a weekly draw is one in 3041*. The chances of winning any of the 15 guaranteed prizes in a draw is one in 203*.

How the Rollover Works

Extra unowned numbers are put in to the £500 draw for the rollover and it has a 94%* chance of rolling over. This is set within the lottery software used to run the draw. It could be won in any week as long as the member is in credit. If it is not won the £500 is rolled over to the following week. If the rollover amount gets up to the maximum £20,000, it will revert to be a guaranteed prize that week with odds of one in 3041 and 100% chance of being won. The current rollover amount is updated on our website after each weekly draw.

How Much Does the Lottery Raise?

You can feel good in the knowledge that 59%* of every entry goes directly towards providing patient care, 39% * is used for prizes, and the remaining 2% is used to fund staff costs, administration, licences and marketing.

Average number of entries in the weekly draw is 3041*
