Assistant Cook


JOB PURPOSE:

The Assistant Cook will report to the Chefs working as an integral part of a dedicated small team.  Our main focus is to provide high quality nutritious meals and special menus for the In-Patient Unit and Wellbeing Centre, with a ‘servery’ offering food for out-patients, visitors, volunteers and staff.  There is a currently a chilled cabinet for food options outside servery opening times, providing sandwiches and snacks.  The vision is to move to a café culture style offering.

The purpose of this post is to assist with the provision of meals, snacks and other services to a high standard.  To make sure patients and others’ catering needs are fully met.  To ensure all catering areas are maintained to a specified high level of cleanliness and hygiene.

Salary: £18,365.10

Hours: Full time 37.5hrs – 5 days per week over 7 days (including weekends)

Duration of Contract: Permanent
