Here you will find a wide range of video resources that staff at Saint Catherine’s have put together for patients and their loved ones to use.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists (OT) support people to resume or maintain participation in activities that are important to them – these can be social, spiritual, work, leisure, self-care tasks and much more.

Occupational Therapists assist people to:

Develop and learn new ways of doing things
Regain skills and develop new ones
Use equipment to make tasks easier
Adapt the home environment so it works better for the individual
Identify goals and work towards meeting these
Develop strategies to help manage symptoms such as pain, breathlessness and fatigue

At Saint Catherine’s the OT works closely with other health care professionals, the patient, family and carers – please refer to ‘OT and You’ video for more detailed information about the role of OT.
