In-Patient Unit

Offering specialist, tailored care

Saint Catherine’s In-Patient Unit has 9 en-suite rooms, each one offering 24-hour specialist symptom control and end of life care.

Our nurses, doctors, therapists and other healthcare professionals provide specialist care, tailored specifically to the patient’s individual needs and wishes, in a comforting environment where patients and their families can feel supported.

Caring For You

When you are cared for by Saint Catherine’s, you can utilise the knowledge and skills of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, complementary therapists, occupational therapists, support workers for your loved ones, spiritual care staff, social workers and more.

This all adds up to a patient centred, tailored approach to our care. Everyone who is cared for by Saint Catherine’s is treated as an individual and we want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible and your needs are catered for.

All of this, along with our recent CQC rating of ‘Good’, means you can be sure you’re getting a high standard of care.

Creating A Homely Feel

Each room opens out on to our award winning gardens, helping create a peaceful and homely space for you to enjoy throughout your time at Saint Catherine’s. All patients and their visitors are free to use the garden space, it is easily accessible for patients who are independently mobile and those who need assistance.

As well as serving home-cooked meals and refreshments throughout the day, our volunteers are always on hand to make patients and families more comfortable. If you or your loved ones need anything, please just ask, we try to cater for every need and nothing is too much trouble.

Video Calling our Patients

We have set up video calling facilities to allow families to communicate with their loved-ones during their stay on our Inpatient Unit.

Calls are possible using Skype, Zoom or alternatively WhatsApp.

If you would like to make use of this facility please fill in the form below so we can send you further information on how to get connected.

Video calls will need to be arranged with a member of our nursing team so they can set up the equipment ready for your call.

We can arrange calls when the patient is on their own and we will make sure you are connected successfully before leaving the equipment in the room for the duration of your call. Of course we are also happy for other visitors to be in the room too, in accordance with our current guidance on visiting during Covid-19.

Please contact us on 01723 351421 and select option 9 to hear the latest information on our visiting arrangements.

Please submit your contact details so we can send you further information on video calling.
