At Saint Catherine’s we are doing everything we can to keep our patients, families, staff , volunteers and supporters safe at this difficult time.
Our key clinical services are still running, which means that patients are still being cared for in the hospice and at home.
However, in line with Government guidance and with safety paramount, we have taken the decision to reduce some face-to-face services and restrict visitors on site.

Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced retail manager to support our busy retail division.

In this exciting role you will be required to work in any of Saint Catherine’s 12 charity shops to provide support covering for the regular Shop Manager during holidays or any other absence.

You will be required to assume operational responsibility, and contribute to the successful running of the designated shop, supported by wonderful volunteers.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • A strong drive to achieve results.
  • Flexibility to work any days in any of the Hospice charity shops as per the needs of the business
  • Ability to be able to adapt to different environments and trading styles
  • Innovative and creative
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with the ability to build rapport with people of diverse ages and backgrounds   
  • Able to manage own time well and prioritise workload and manage conflicting priorities
  • Understanding the role of the charity shop
  • IT literate and numerate
  • Able to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check to obtain satisfactory DBS clearance
  • Full Clean Driving Licence and use of own car to travel to any of our 12 hospice shops
