Our Christmas Tree Collection Service Returns This Festive Season

The Saint Catherine’s Christmas Tree Collection service is back, supporting our community whilst helping to raise vital funds to support patient care.

Our amazing staff and volunteers will collect and recycle your real Christmas tree in exchange for a £10 donation, helping us raise vital funds to support patient care. To allow us to plan collection routes efficiently, please ensure your booking is made by 5:00pm on Friday 1st January 2027.

What areas do you cover?

Before booking, please check that your address is within our collection area. We currently collect Christmas trees from properties in Scarborough and surrounding communities, up to 10 miles from Saint Catherine’s on Throxenby Lane (YO12 5RE).

When will my tree be collected?

Collections will take place between Monday 4th and Sunday 10th January 2027.

Due to the nature of the collections and the need to plan the most efficient routes, we’re unable to provide an exact date or time for your tree collection.

If we experience any delays due to poor weather or unforeseen circumstances, we’ll keep you updated on our social media channels.

Can I make an Additional Donation?

Of course! If you’d like to make an extra contribution, simply select one of the relevant donation tickets when making your purchase. Every additional donation helps us continue providing vital care and support to patients and families across our community.

Remove decorations Please remove all decorations, lights, tinsel and stands.

Put it outside Have your tree outside your property by 8am on Monday 4th January 2027.

Make it visible Please make sure your tree is clearly visible and easily accessible for collection.

What happens after I book?

Once you’ve booked your collection, your details will be added to our collection routes. Our team of staff and volunteers will collect your tree between Monday 4th and Sunday 10th January 2027.

Please remember

As we’re planning hundreds of collections across our service area, we’re unable to provide an exact collection date or time. Please have your tree outside by 8am on Monday 4th January and make sure it is clearly visible and accessible.

Before you book

  • ✓ Your tree must be within 10 miles of Saint Catherine’s, YO12 5RE
  • ✓ Your tree must be outside by 8am on Monday 4th January
  • ✓ All decorations, lights, tinsel and stands must be removed
  • ✓ Please make sure the tree is clearly visible and accessible
  • ✓ Book by 7:30pm on Monday 4th January

What happens to your tree?

Once collected, your Christmas tree will be recycled rather than going to landfill, helping to give it a new lease of life. At the same time, your donation helps us provide vital care and support to patients and families across our community.
